The arts may be the key element in building added value in the modern knowledge economy. No longer should we see the arts as a frill; the arts are essential to our sustainable economic growth and well-being.

Supporting public art is tantamount to supporting a thriving local economy;
this was the impetus for the Strathcona Business Improvement Association to commission two public art engagement workshops and a Public Art Strategy.

HSA designed and facilitated the workshops that brought together stakeholders in Strathcona’s future, including artists, property owners, businesses, and tenants. The ideas and data gathered resulted in the Public Art Strategy document.
